Youngsters in the Scottish Borders pose for a photo with the Olympic mascots. They are being encouraged to get involved with as many Olympic sports as the big event draws nearer.
School children in the Borders are being encouraged to take part in as many sporting events as possible in the lead up to the Olympics.
With just 1 week to go, events are being stepped up, with a different activity taking place every day.
'Olympic passports' have been given to all P4-7 pupils back in January. They are rewarded as they take part in more sports.
This week, children can enjoy water polo, surfing and beach volley ball among other events.
