Kate Murray from Hawick is taking part in the ranking round of the Paralympic archery competition today. It is an extra special day for 63-year-old as it's her birthday. Kate's competed at four Paralympic Games, she won both a silver and bronze at the Beijing Games 2008.
Kate Murray is the oldest Paralympian in Team GB, she lives near Hawick and began using a wheelchair following nerve damage to her spine. Kate says it's support from local archery groups that has secured her a place in the team.
Two girls who will be watching Paralympic events in London very closely are Emma Goodchild and Anna Nicholson. The teenagers from Brampton in Cumbria are both training hard in the hope that they will make the Paralympic team for the next games in four years time.
