Family pay tribute to 'Loving father'

The family of Mr Kulinski who died after an attack on Sunday 14 October have paid tribute to him. They have described him as a ‘loving father and partner’.

Piotr Kulinski, 32, was living in Carlisle but originated from Poland. He was found with stab wounds on Arnside Road on 14th October, he later died from his injuries

Piotr’s partner said on behalf of his family:

"Piotr was a loving father and partner who was loved very much by his family. He will never be forgotten, we think about him all the time and miss him greatly."

Six people have appeared at Carlisle magistrates in relation to Mr Kulinski's death, three charged with murder and three charged with assisting an offender. They are all Polish Nationals and were remanded in custody. They'll appear at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday 22nd October.

Seventh person arrested in Carlisle murder case

A seventh person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Polish man in Carlisle last weekend, and is being held in custody along with six others.

The 18 year old man, who is from Poland but lives in Carlisle, was last night arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Warrants for further detention were granted by the courts last night, giving police officers more time for questioning.

Piotr Kulinski, who was living in Carlisle but originated from Poland, was attacked on Arnside Road in the city on the morning of 14 October and later died from his injuries.

"We are absolutely dedicated to uncovering the evidence we need to give Mr Kulinski’s family the answers they deserve.

“We have been speaking to witnesses but are convinced there are more people out there who can help us. Please, if you were in the area at the time, or have any information that can help us piece together exactly what happened that morning or in the lead up to this tragedy, get in touch."

Police continue questioning in Carlisle murder case

Cumbria Police are continuing to question six people in connection with a Carlisle murder investigation.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances which led up to a man being attacked and killed at 6am on Sunday 14 October.

Four vehicles have been seized for forensic examination and five premises have been searched.

Anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation should ring Cumbria Police on 101 or speak to a local police officer.

They can also ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Six arrested over Carlisle stabbing

Six people have now been arrested over the murder of a Polish man in Carlisle.

32 year old Poitr Kulinski died after being stabbed outside his house in Arnside Road in Carlisle.

Six people, all Polish nationals, are now in custody answering police questions.

Four people were arrested yesterday afternoon. Three men - one aged 30 and two aged 23 were arrested on suspicion of murder. A 26 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.Last night two more men were arrested on suspicion of murder, one aged 30 and another 44.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Duhig said:

“ We are still appealing for members of the Polish community to speak to us about the circumstances leading up to this incident. I understand that some people find it difficult to speak to the police and would like to offer reassurance that we will do everything we can to support them.”

Four people under arrest on suspicion of murder after a man is stabbed in Carlisle

Four people are under arrest after a man died after being stabbed outside his house in Carlisle. Police and ambulance crews were called to the address on Arnside Road at around 6 am. The man, who was in his 32 and from Poland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three men and one woman, who are all from Poland, were arrested this afternoon. The dead man won't be formally identified until his relatives have been informed. Detectives are appealing for information about the death, especially from within the Polish community in Cumbria.

Man dies after Carlisle assault

A man has died after being attacked in Carlisle.

Police and Paramedics were called out to Arnside Road at 6am on Sunday morning. It's believed the man, who was in his 30's, may have been stabbed. He died at the scene.

Police have cordoned off the area and are now investigating. Two men were seen in the area at the time, and police are appealing for information.
