The bravery of a policeman from Cumbria constabulary has been officially recognised at a glitzy London ceremony. Inspector Dennis Kelly stopped an armed robbery at a petrol station while off duty.

Inspector Dennis Kelly has been awarded for his bravery at the prestigious Annual Police Bravery Awards ceremony in London.
Mr Kelly was duty when he stopped an armed robbery taking place at a petrol station near Maryport.
