96 year old Doris Hancock will finish her 8 month walk along the Hadrian's Wall Path later today. The former special needs teacher from Ambleside has been walking 5 miles a day twice a month, raising money for Centrepoint, the homeless young people's charity.
A former special needs teacher has one day left to complete a walk along the length of Hadrian's Wall at the age of 96. Doris Hancock, who's from Ambleside, will arrive at Bowness on Solway today near the end of her eight month long trek.
She's raised more than three thousand pounds for the homeless young persons charity Centrepoint.
The Patron of Centrepoint, Prince William has written to congratulate her on her achievement.
