Two men from Whitehaven have been arrested after a 78-year-old woman was robbed in her own home.
The woman said two men in balaclavas came into her bedroom, threatened her and pushed her, before stealing money and valuables. She suffered injuries to her arm.
The attack happened on 31st October at Whinlatter Road in Whitehaven.
A 35-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were arrested by detectives from Workington on 5th November, and are being held in custody.
Police have appealed for anyone with information in relation to the incident to contact them at Workington CID on 101.

A woman was assaulted by two men in her home in Whitehaven in the early hours of Wednesday (31st October).
One man has been arrested and is in police custody.

At around 1.20 am on Wednesday 31st October two men broke into the woman's home on Whinlatter Road in Whitehaven.
They threatened the woman and stole money and other valuables. The woman was bruised and cut in the incident and was left shaken. Paramedics treated the woman but she didn't need hospital treatment.
A 25 year old man from Whitehaven has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and is in police custody.
