A final push is being made to find the relatives of 22 pupils of a Dumfries and Galloway school, who died during the Second World War.
Trees were planted in memory of the men and women who attended Wallace Hall Academy in Closeburn.
A campaigner from Closeburn is making a final plea to trace the families of twenty two former village school children who were killed during World War Two.
Jayne Thomas has been working hard to repair and clean-up the current war memorial next to the former Wallace Hall Academy.
Plaques were erected and trees were planted in memory of the school's former pupils who died sixty-five years ago, however the site has since fallen into disrepair.
New plaques were made after funding was provided from Scottish Hydro Clyde Community Fund via the Nith Valley Leaf Trust
To mark the 65th anniversary, a special memorial service will be held at Closeburn war memorial on 11th November.
Relatives of the former pupils and war veterans are invited to attend.
