Woman rescued from Lake District mountain

A woman in her 50s has been rescued after falling while walking on Skiddaw. The walker, from Spennymoor in County Durham, was injured after slipping on Sunday afternoon. She was airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment.

A walker's been airlifted to hospital after falling while walking on one of the Lake District's highest mountains.

The woman, who's in her 50s and from County Durham, was injured after slipping while hiking on Skiddaw on Sunday afternoon, 18th November.
