Today marks the 40th anniversary of one of the biggest sporting upsets ever seen in the region. In 1972 thousands packed into Workington's Ellis Sports Ground to watch the North West Counties rugby union team play the mighty All Blacks.
Little did they know at the beginning of the game that what they would see would be history in the making.
