The launch of a new sports scheme in Cumbria has been welcomed as an initiative to get more local people to stay active and get involved in sports.
Bruce Lawson from Active Cumbria says that through the scheme and local events, it will help attract as many young people as possible to keep fit and have fun.
A new project aimed at getting more people playing sport has been launched in Cumbria.
Two hundred thousand pounds of lottery money will help run the scheme which is part of the legacy of the London 2012 games. It was a promise made by Lord Coe in the wake of the Olympics, a chance for more teenagers and young adults to participate more in sport.
