The annual Roger Albert Clark rally visits Carlisle.

Rally fever hits the region

The annual Roger Albert Clark Rally is visiting the region this weekend, with over 80 two-wheel-drive classic cars taking part.

The 170-mile forest route starts in north Yorkshire, before moving through Darlington, Carlisle and Dumfries, before finishing in Brampton.

The main field will visit Carlisle on Saturday (November 24th), where they will spend the night, before tackling stages across the region on Sunday, with a ceremonial finish outside the Moot Hall in Brampton.

The first car is expected into the town centre at 2pm, where the Mayor of Carlisle will flag the first 10 cars over the finish line.
