Hopes for new indoor pitches at Queen of the South ground
The club wants to transform the mothballed former Tesco's store next to Palmerston Park into a training facility with two indoor pitches. The club chairman, Billy Hewitson, believes that work on the project could start within six months.
He estimates that it'll take at least half a million pounds to convert the building and the bulk of that money could be raised from the Scottish Government.
It's stood empty since Tesco closed it in 2004 after they build a larger one in Cuckoo Bridge.
