Around 100 swimmers took part this year, with hundreds more watching on.

Around a hundred people will assemble in Whitehaven at 10 am on New Years Eve for an annual sea swim.

One hundred people took part in the annual Golden Sands Polar Bear challenge in Whitehaven to raise £25,000 for charity.
The dippers ran into the Irish Sea in the harbour town and straight back out again.
Most we wearing fancy dress or t-shirts bearing the name of their chosen charity.
The annual dip is organised by Sellafield workers.
– Gary McKeating, Sellafield worker"We were treated to a warm up by the Moky Fit girls and then cooled down dramatically in the sea.
"This is a great way to raise money for charity and it does seem to be getting bigger and better every year.
"It's brilliant to see so many people get into the spirit of the occasion and dress up - a different way to say goodbye to the year."
The swimmers have now entered the water at Whitehaven for their annual New Year's Eve dip.
New Year's Eve dippers are gathering in Whitehaven to warm up, before heading tothe beach.
The 100 dippers have raised more than £25,000 for various charities.
Hundreds of swimmers and supporters will assemble on the Golden Sands Beach at Whitehaven Harbour later this morning.
Last year more than twenty thousand pounds was raised by members of the Golden Sands Polar Bear Club plunged into the icy waters of the North Sea.
