Cumbria Police are launching a new appeal to try and solve the mystery of the death of a woman whose remains were found in woods near a disused quarry in Longtown.
Police are treating the 56 year old's death as 'suspicious' and think she could have been murdered.
The last know sighting of Betty was in May 2010, when she got a bus from Edinburgh. It's thought she got off the bus at Longtown.
It's not known what happened to her after that. Eight months later her remains were discovered in woods in the town.
Despite extensive appeals, Detectives are still trying to find out how she died and are again asking members of the public for their help with information about her last movements.
