Heavy snow and ice is causing travel disruptions and school closures across the region.
The latest weather warnings are listed below:
AMBER WARNING- Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders and Cumbria
There is heavy snow affecting southern and eastern Scotland, the Scottish Borders and Cumbria.
An amber alert has been issued with over 10cm of snow expected throughout the day. Gale force winds are also expected, which may cause drifting blizzards.
The public are being asked to be prepared for the risk of travel disruptions, road closures and power supply problems.
The amber warning is issued until 9pm this evening, with yellow warnings across the region being issued for tomorrow (22nd January).
