Full report: Archbishop visits Cumbria
The Archbishop of York, Dr. John Sentamu, has been in Cumbria as part of a two day visit to the area.
He started the day seeing the work of the church in the countryside and hearing about one initiative that started after the foot and mouth crisis.

The Archbishop of York kicked off his day in Cumbria with a visit to Blunderfield Farm in Kirkoswald near Penrith.
He met with farmer Brian Armstrong, who explained the challenges the farming community has faced since foot and mouth.

He then went on to visit the newly re-built Trinity School in Carlisle where he met staff and pupils for a questions and answers session.

The Archbishop of York is visiting our region as part of his two day tour of Cumbria to see the work of the Diocese of Carlisle.
He is due to visit a farm near Penrith, followed by a visit to Carlisle's Trinity School, where he will meet staff and pupils, and see the newly finished building work.
