Sister of David Coulthard found dead

The sister of Formula One racing star David Coulthard has been found dead at her home in Crossmichael, South West Scotland.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the home of 35 year-old Lynsay Jackson this morning.

Mrs Jackson ran the David Coulthard Museum in Twynholm. She is survived by her husband, Will, and eight month old daughter Emilie.

“It’s a terrible shock for everyone. She was so well-known as are the family. It’s a really sad day for everyone.”

Her mother and father Joyce and Duncan Coulthard are flying home from Australia where they are on holiday. The news was broken to them early this morning and to brother David who was appearing live on cook programme on TV – it is believed the news was broken to him after show.

“We can confirm that a 35-year-old woman was found dead in her home today in Crossmichael.

“Our enquiries into her death are on-going at this time but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for the procurator fiscal.”
