Overturned glue lorry on A76
The A76 through Sanquhar is currently closed due a road crash which involved a lorry loaded with glue.

The clean-up of 18 tonnes of glue is well underway, after a lorry shed its load on the A76 at Sanquhar earlier today (22nd February).
Council workers have been using sand to try and soak up the substance.
The road is expected to be closed until at least 5pm this evening.
Glue clean-up begins
Council roads workers have been brought in to clean up the 15,000 litres of glue currently spread across the road.
Sans is being poured over the glue, in the hope of absorbing the sticky substance.

Glue spillage closes road
Police say the A76 outside of Sanquhar will remain closed for most of the day, after a glue lorry overturned.
Around 400 metres of the road is currently covered in glue.
The diversion currently in place is:
Southbound onto A70 at Cumnock, onto then B7078 to Abington Services, onto A702, then rejoin the A76.
Police advise northbound motorists to reverse this route.

The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
The current diversion is 50 miles long.
