Man dies from gunshot wound in Hawick

A 22-year-old man has died following a gunshot wound he sustained near Hawick, in the Scottish Borders, last night (7th May).

Hawick Rector pays tribute to former pupil

Tributes have been paid to a man who died after being shot in the leg on a Borders Farm. Adam Hepburn from Hawick died from his injuries in the early hours of yesterday, May 8.

Adam loved playing rugby and taking part in the local common riding festivals.

He was a former pupil of Hawick High School. Alan Williamson, Rector at the school, has paid tribute to him.

Gunshot victim named locally

A 22-year-old man who died after suffering a shotgun wound to his leg has been named locally as Adam Hepburn.

Emergency services were called to a rural location near Hawick, in the Scottish Borders last night (7th May) at 11.45pm.

Mr Hepburn was taken to Borders General Hospital in Melrose, but died early this morning.

"The incident happened around 11.45pm last night ( 7th May), in a rural location on the outskirts of Hawick.

"He was taken to the Borders General Hospital, however passed away in the early hours of this morning. Enquiries are currently at an early stage."
