There's fresh hope that the mystery of the disappearance of a Cumbrian woman 15 years ago may finally be solved. Celena Bridge vanished while backpacking in Australia in 1998. It's believed she was murdered.

Police are following new leads about the disappearance of a Cumbrian backpacker in Australia 15 years ago. Celena Bridge who lived near Ainstable in the Eden Valley vanished in Queensland in 1998. She'd been travelling alone and was due to meet her fiance at the airport but never arrived.
Police believe her disappearance is linked to the disappearance of another backpacker and the murder of a 15 year old schoolgirl. Detectives have been speaking to witnesses again and told ITV News they have a 'responsibility to the families of the women to find out what happened to them.'
