Fourteen tonnes of grain has been destroyed in a farm fire near Annan.

33 firefighters tackled the blaze, which broke out in a grain dryer at Charelsfield Farm on the A7020 Lochmaben road.

Firefighters are still at the scene tackling hotspots as there is a fear that the grain could re-ignite.

Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious.

33 firefighters are currently tackling a blaze at a farm near Annan in Dumfries and Galloway.

It started on Tuesday evening in a grain silo at Charlesfield Farm.

Dumfries and Galloway fire and rescue say the fire is contained to the silo and no one is reported to be hurt.

Police are warning drivers to be aware that smoke is drifting across the B7020 Lochmaben road.
