Wigtown Book Festival gets underway today, with over 200 events taking place in the town over the next ten days.

The festival takes place in Scotland's National Book Town, which boasts sixteen book shops.

Anne Applebaum, Joanna Lumley, Fred MacAulay, and Peter Snow are among the literary giants taking part in the fair.
