A West Cumbrian engineering firm has had its project to build a deep water research facility boosted by a £150,000 grant.

The money from Britain's Energy Coast will help Forth Engineering in Flimby finish off the building work on their mock nuclear pond.

15 new jobs are being created as a result of the facility as Kim Inglis reports.

Cash boost for West Cumbrian engineering firm

A West Cumbrian engineering firm has had its project to build a deep water research facility boosted by a 150 thousand pound grant.

The money from Britain's Energy Coast will help Forth Engineering complete the building work and create 15 new jobs.

The whole project, to create a replica of some of Sellafield's nuclear ponds, will cost just under 2 million pounds and be ready to use by March next year.
