Four people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A74 (M)
The incident took place at 5:50am between junctions 20 and 21.
The casualties were said to have been suffering from the effects of inhaling chemicals and taken to Dumfries Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Firefighters in Dumfries and Galloway helped the casualties and cleared the motorway after two HGVs collided this morning.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service liaised with the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency to ensure the chemicals were safely managed and removed.
Two lanes are closed northbound on the A74 (M) between junctions 21 and 20, due to a crash involving two lorries.
One of the lorries struck the central reservation, and it is expected that the two lanes will be closed for some time.
Traffic heading towards Lockerbie is also being affected.
