Family's plea not to forget missing man

It's been three months since a grandfather from Kendal, South Cumbria, went missing in Greece.

Roger Bainbridge was visiting his sister, who lives on Paxos, when he decided to take a day trip to the small island of Antipaxos, but he never returned.

He was seen on the ferry going over to the island but no trace of him or the rucksack he was carrying have been found.

As his family prepare to spend their first Christmas without him they're asking everyone not to forget about him.

Roger's son, Iain said the family are 'beside themselves' at not knowing what has happened to him and have paid tribute to everyone who has helped search for him.

Despite family and friends scouring the island of Antipaxos he was visiting, the Greek police's efforts, a search by a thermal-imaging helicopter and two Cumbrian police officers flying over to assist in the investigation, no trace has ever been found of him.

Roger's DNA and dental records haven't been put on the Interpol Missing Person's list, meaning if his body washed up on a beach somewhere else authorities wouldn't be able to identify him.

The family would like the Greek police to do this and feel a private investigator could find out more and get them some answers.
