Train services between Carlisle and Barrow are back running as normal after earlier disruptions.
B5300 Main Street in Allonby closed at the Dubmill Point junction, because of risk from tidal flooding.
The A66 is currently closed to high sided vehicles between the a685 junction in Brough and and the a67 junction in Bowes because of Strong winds.
The track between Workington and Carlisle is now blocked and replacement buses are running between the two stations according to Network Rail
The Whitesands in Dumfries has now been closed to traffic due to flooding and reports that the high tide in Caresthorn brought flooding also.
Cumbria Police now warn that the M6 between Tebay and Penrith is potentially dangerous due to the high winds. a temporary speed lit of 50 mph is in place.
Cumbria Police now say that Mealpot Road in Maryport and Church Street in Workington are closed due to flooding.
High winds are expected throughout Saturday and Sunday with widespread speeds of between 50 and 60 mph with exposed coastal areas seeing gusts of around 70 mph
The public are also warned that waves may be higher than usual and precautions should be taken along coastal roads and paths.
