Hundreds of mourners paid their respects to a much loved, and well known figure in the Scottish Borders.
In her time Zandra Elliot was among other things, a knitwear model, a councillor, and the provost of Hawick.
And it was in the town where she'd served that she was laid to rest. Jenny Longden has this report.
Politicians and colleagues have joined family and friends to pay their respects to Councillor Zandra Elliot at her funeral in Hawick today.
The former Honorary Mayor of Hawick died of heart problems in hospital on Saturday, 22 February.
Among those in attendance at Teviot Church this morning were MP Michael Moore, MSP John Lamont and councillors from Scottish Borders Council.
