Cumbria's Police and Crime Commissioner has been holding a public surgery today, Wednesday 20 August, in Penrith.

Richard Rhodes say the surgeries allow locals a chance to highlight their concerns about policing in the county.

He's holding another surgery in Carlisle tomorrow, followed by ones in Maryport, Kendal, and Alston.

Crime Commissioner to hold public surgeries

Cumbria's Police and Crime Commissioner is to hold two surgeries in Penrith and Carlisle.

Richard Rhodes will be holding a surgery at Booths in Penrith between 1-3pm on Wednesday, 20 August.

The Carlisle session will be between 3:30pm and 5:30pm at the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre on Tursday, 21 August.

He is inviting people to go along and share their views about policing in the county.

“A key responsibility of the Police and Crime Commissioner is listening to the views of the people of Cumbria and using them to influence the future policing in the county. It is important that as many people as possible could come along to the surgeries and share their issues and views.”

Pre-booked appointments can be made for the first hour but you can also attend without an appointment.
