All forms of school transport in the Scottish Borders have been cancelled for tomorrow, when Storm Doris is expected to sweep through the region.

An Amber weather warning for snow covers the south of Scotland, and between 10 and 15cm of snow is expected.

Scottish Borders Council says local decisions on school closures will be announced in the morning.

If needed the Resilient Schools protocol will be used, which would see 21 rural primary schools closed, with only pupils within walking distance attending schools.

If this is implemented, parents will be notified directly by Groupcall message.

Some waste and recycling collections may be affected.
