Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service have spent four hours rescuing a cow from a slurry pit.
Officers were called to Priory Farm at Armathwaite at about 6:30pm yesterday, Monday 7 April.
It took 11 officers to rescue the pregnant animal.

60-year-old Judy Symms Laurence takes her motorised tricycle from Carlisle to Armathwaite twice a week to care for her chronically ill friend.
Robert Kleijn, her friend of 22 years has had two strokes and needs help around the house.
Even though she suffers from MS and is in constant pain she regularly takes her three wheeled Trippi trike down the A6.
However, the mobility scooter is off the road, in the garage and under repair.
