You don't have to go far in this part of the world to find a golf course... and five in the region are celebrating after making it on to a prestigious list of the best affordable golf courses in the UK.
At the very top of the list was one small Cumbrian course which has been praised for it's beauty and the overall experience it offers golfers.

The secretary of Silloth on Solway golf club, Alan Oliver, has welcomed the recent accolade awarded to the club by 'Today's Golfer' magazine.
– Alon Oliver, Secretary, Silloth on Solway golf club" It's a fantastic achievement for the club, and to received such high accolade is an honour and a privilege.
"We pride ourselves on offering great value for money, and it makes it extra special to be recognised for this. It's brilliant for us and the county."
Silloth on Solway golf club has been named the best golf course for under £60 a round in the British Isles.
'Today's Golfer' magazine has identified the Cumbrian course as being outstanding in its top 100 courses.
