A partially sighted woman has taken on the challenge of sailing the length of England's largest lake.
Lucy Hodges, who's registered blind, attempted to single handedly navigate the 21 miles up and down Windermere.
She can't see obstacles or even where Windermere's shoreline is but with the help of sighted sailor, Ian Shearer, she managed to sail across the length of the lake in just five hours.
Blind sailing's been growing in popularity. But the elite side of the sport struggles to find funding.
Lucy is trying to raise £3,600 so that the GB Blind Sailing Team can send sighted sailors along to the 2013 Blind Sailing World and International Championships in Japan held from May 24th to June 1st.
