The three Thai monks who were killed in a crash on Christmas Eve have been named.
Phramaha Chai Boonma, 36, Phramaha Pranom Thongphaiboon, 43, and Phramaha Kriangkrai Khamsamrong, 35, died in the accident on the outskirts of Midlothian.
The Buddhist monks were travelling along the A68 near Fala Tunnel at around 7.30am on Christmas Eve, when their Nissan Note overturned and collided with a Skoda Octavia.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 61-year-old female driver of the car and a 47-year-old male passenger both suffered various injuries and were taken to hospital.
The 74-year-old male Skoda driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police officers closed the road for around six hours to investigate the crash.
