A scheme which provides financial help towards shop-front revamps has helped fifty businesses in the Scottish Borders.
The 'Shopfront Improvement Grant Scheme' was set up by the Scottish Borders Council and has no been running for three years.
More than £285,000 has been granted to local traders, with around £100,000 allocated again this year.
The money is spent on everything from new signage and joinery work to brightening up town centres.
The latest phase of funding allows for new improvement works to begin next year.
