'The Bean Machine' arrives in Carlisle
A car powered by coffee, nicknamed 'The Bean Machine', is visiting Carlisle as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.
The caffeine machine set the Guinness World Land Speed Record for a car of its kind, and is stopping at the co-operative store on Wigton Road in Carlisle as part of a UK-wide tour.
Conservationist Martin Bacon from County Durham invented the unique car, which is powered using a caffeine waste product- coffee chaff pellets.
