England all-rounder Ben Stokes is set to appear in court on an affray charge, on the same day he was expected to return to international cricket in a Twenty20 match in New Zealand.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that Stokes is due at Bristol Magistrates' Court on February 13, following an incident outside a nightclub in the city in September.
The 26-year-old from Cockermouth, who missed the Ashes after being suspended from playing for England, is accused of affray alongside two other men.
A fresh weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for parts of Cumbria and the south of Scotland.
The yellow warning comes into force at 11.00am today until 11.55pm tomorrow.
