Cycle challenge "started off as a dare" says Officer

"It started off as an office dare more than anything, a little bit of banter between myself and Paul Senior, the challenge was laid down.

"The timescale was shortened to just seven days, but luckily we found quite a number of our colleagues who were willing to take it on!

"It has been absolutely fantastic, we have seen the best that England has to offer but there was nothing like yesterday and today, cycling through our own Border area through Cumbria and into the Borders, absolutely fabulous scenery."

– Lee Skelton, Chairman, Cumbria Police Federation
