The search for a woman who has been missing from her Nottingham home since April 2010, has been widened to the Lake District.

It's thought that Debbie Starbuck, formerly known as Debbie Cooper, was in the Lake District a month after she was last seen at home.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Debbie or her husband Jamie, in the Bowness area, around the middle of May 2010.

In March this year, a friend informed police that he had not heard from her for almost two years and was concerned, as it was completely out of character.

Debbie is between 5ft 4” and 5ft 5” tall and of medium build.

She was last seen with shoulder-length brown wavy hair and travelled around the Lake District in a red Citroen C3.

A police spokesperson said:

“You may recognise Debbie as someone who has stayed at your hotel or hostel, or you may have travelled with her. If you know where she is, please let us know.”

Anyone with any information about Debbie Starbuck is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
