An accident involving a lorry and a cattle truck blocked two lanes on the M6 Northbound between J39 B6261 (Shap) and J40 A66 (Penrith). The accident is now cleared and traffic is easing.
Another accident involving one vehicle closed one lane on the M6 Southbound between J36 A590 (Kirkby Lonsdale) and J35 A601(M) Carnforth. The lane is now open and the broken down vehicle has been removed.
All lines on the Virgin North Lakes train service as currently closed due to a fallen tree at Penrith.
