The Met Office has upgraded their weather warning for tomorrow's high winds to amber.
Gusts are expected to reach 80mph across our region, with some parts of Scotland getting winds of 90mph.
Winds will begin to ease during the afternoon, with the strongest gales hitting eastern coastal areas in the evening.
The Met Office has also warned of the potential for significant coastal flooding along parts of southeast Scotland and northwest England.
This may include flooding affecting parts of coastal communities and travel disruption along coastal routes.
The public should be prepared for the potential for significant disruption.
