Ibehre sent off inside opening minute during Carlisle draw

Carlisle United managed a 1-1 draw away to Accrington Stanley, despite having striker Jabo Ibehre sent off inside the opening minute for catching Matty Pearson with a high foot.

The visitors went in front through Hallam Hope's goal before Accrington were then reduced to 10 men after 54 minutes, when Adam Buxton was dismissed for a second yellow card offence.

Four minutes later Stanley were level when Sean McConville played a ball in from the left for substitute Terry Gornell to head home.

Carlisle United travel to Bristol Rovers in League Two tomorrow, with top scorer Jabo Ibehre available for selection again after a seven-week absence through injury.

But manager Keith Curle says he has competition for his place.

The options that we've got now up front - Steven Rigg, Charlie Wyke, Derek Asamoah, Hallam Hope, Jabo Ibehre - we've got five centre forwards there vying for one two or three positions and I think that is good competition."
