The westbound lane of the A72 road will be closed at Neidpath from today (Friday 6 February) for safety reasons.
Temporary traffic lights have been erected on the road west of Peebles after a damaged retaining wall was discovered.
There is currently no timescales on how long the lane closure will be in operation but more information will be available after an assessment of the wall.
There is one lane closed on the M6 northbound in Cumbria, between J41 (Catterlen) and J42 (Carlisle south), due to a broken down vehicle.
Two lanes are closed on the M6 northbound at Cumbria between J41 (Catterlen) and J42 (Carlisle south), due to an overturned car and trailer.
The trailer was transporting cows, so the road will be closed until the animals are removed from the road.
One lane is closed on the M6 Northbound between Junction 44 (Carlisle North) and Junction 45 (Gretna), due to a broke down car.
Lane one (of three) is closed.
One lane is closed on the A74 (M) Northbound between J15 B7076 / A701 (Moffat) and J14 A702 / B7076 (Moffat), due to a lorry on fire.
Police are advising motorists to approach with care.
