Pictures: Lorry hanging off Carlisle bridge
An articulated lorry was left hanging on a motorway bridge this morning.
The food lorry left the main carriageway of the M6 between junctions 41 and 42 and the back of its trailer was hanging over the road linking the A6 with the village of Calthwaite.
Two lanes of the motorway were closed while the vehicle was recovered.
