A statement has been released from Dumfries bus company MacEwans Coach Services, after one of its buses carrying 13 passengers crashed outside Biggar around 8.30pm on 14th November.
Seven people were taken to hospital for treatment.
South Lanarkshire Council have confirmed that they are not responsible for this route and therefore are not involved in any discussions to improve safety on the route.
Eight people have been taken to hospital after a bus crash in South Lanarkshire.
The Edinburgh to Dumfries bus was involved in a collision near Biggar at 8:25pm on Wednesday evening.
There were 13 people on board including the driver. The 7 people were taken to 3 different hospitals.
Strathclyde Police say none of the injuries are life-threatening.
