Hundreds line the streets to welcome the torch
Thousands line the streets of Appleby as the torch edges closer. Hundreds of children from local schools have turned out, as well two very enthusiastic street performers.
Carlisle school practise welcome dance
School children at the Richard Rose central academy have been practising their welcome dance for the arrival of the Olympic torch in the city today.
The dancers are all part of the academies Dance Company DanceCo and have been rehearsing since April.More than 120 students are involved int the production.
