Protestors have gathered outside a meeting that was called to address concerns about Galloway Community Hospital.
The meeting took place at Stranraer Library, and was organised after local people raised concerns about a number of issues, including one of the hospital's two in-patient wards being closed for a week, earlier this month.
There has also been criticism of the lack of anaesthetic cover in the emergency department of the hospital.
NHS Dumfries & Galloway have been addressing people's concerns throughout the day at the meeting, and also in a statement online.
RMT are protesting outside Preston Crown Court ahead of Network Rail's sentencing over the Grayrigg crash in 2007. They face an unlimited fine.
