An organisation which offers financial support to small businesses in Cumbria has been given a 1.8 million pounds hand-out by the Regional Growth Fund.
Enterprise Awards were awarded the money two years ago, and are now offering small businesses to apply if they are in need of additional funding.
Loans ranging between £3,000 and £100,000 are being offered to new businesses and businesses looking to expand.
It is hoped that the investment will help boost the Cumbrian economy as a whole.
