Scores of children have taken part in a Remembrance Service in the centre of Carlisle - ahead of Remembrance Sunday.
The service was a reminder of the sacrifice thousands of people have paid to defend our country.
Schoolchildren from across the region marched through the city to the sound of the bagpipes, before taking part in a ceremony.
The children, all wearing poppies, read poems, sang hymns and laid wreaths.
The service has been held for several years and gives children the opportunity to show their appreciation for fallen soldiers.
