Thousands of students across Cumbria will receive their A Level results this morning. Last year Cumbria saw an increase in the number of students acheiving higher grades despite a national fall.
This year students are being urged not to panic if they don't get the results they were expecting - the Exam Results Helpline is open. Anyone in need of support and guidance on what to do next should call the helpline number on 0808 100 8000.
A three goals to nil victory over Albion saw Queen of the South pull fifteen points clear at the top of the Scottish Second Division.
Goals by Clark, Lyle and Young wrapped up a comprehensive win and pulled the doonhamers a further three points ahead of second placed Alloa, whose game at Arbroath was postponed.
Elsewhere, a draw with Stenhousemuir did little to pull Stranraer out of trouble and in Division Three Rangers continued their march to promotion with a win over Berwick and Annan beat Montrose at home.
- Albion 0-3 Queen of the South
- Stenhousemuir 0-0 Stranraer
- Annan Athletic 2-1 Montrose
- Rangers 4-2 Berwick Rangers
