A689 Cumbria blocked in both directions

The A689 is blocked on both directions at Kingstown in Cumbria due to an accident involving two vehicles.

Police are on their way to the accident, which happened half a mile from junction 44 on the M6.

The M6 in Cumbria is blocked northbound between junctions 43 (Carlisle) and 44 (Carlisle North), due to an accident.

The A689 Carlisle city bypass is blocked at Kingmoor Park roundabout, due to an overturned tractor and shed load of hay.

The B5307 Newtown Road in Carlisle is partially blocked in both directions due to an accident at the A595 Wigton Road.

Police are at the scene.

The B5305 is blocked in both directions at Sebergham, Cumbria, as a lorry has jacknifed on Sebergham Bridge.

Delays between Wigton and Penrith can be expected and police say the road will not be clear until at least 10am.

Burton Road on the A65, near Kendal, is partially blocked in both directions due to an accident involving two vehicles at Oxenholm Lane.

The A7 Eden Bridge southbound is partially blocked near to Carlisle Cricket Club due to an accident involving two cars at Brampton Road.

There are reports that Station Road in Wigton is partially blocked due to a lorry colliding with a bridge between New Street and the A596.
