An overturned wagon on the M6 blocked all three lanes of the southbound carriageway on Thursday 4 January, causing severe delays for up to 10 hours.
It happened just after 11am between junctions 37 and 36 (south of Killington services).
Traffic was diverted through the A6 to Kendal until the road was re-opened at 10pm.
Cumbria Roads Police reported there were no injuries.
The westbound carriageway of the A66 between Crackenthorpe and Bolton is currently blocked because of a broken down HGV.
Police were called at 9.59am today. Drivers are advised to expect delays.
An overturned lorry at junction 38 (Tebay), on the M6 in Cumbria, is causing severe delays.
The lorry, which was carrying a load of refrigerated goods, overturned at 2am.
Two lanes have been closed between junctions 38 and 39, but lane three is now open.
Drivers can expect long delays as traffic is just beginning to filter through.
Police have advised that any abnormal loads will have to be held at the service area.
The B724 road is blocked about two miles west of Annan, near to the Newbie junction, due to a crash.
Emergency services are at the scene and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
The M6 is blocked in both directions between Lancaster Services and Junction 33, A6 (Galgate), due to a police incident.
Motorists travelling south should prepare for delays.
The A689 is blocked on both directions at Kingstown in Cumbria due to an accident involving two vehicles.
Police are on their way to the accident, which happened half a mile from junction 44 on the M6.
The M6 in Cumbria is blocked northbound between junctions 43 (Carlisle) and 44 (Carlisle North), due to an accident.
The A689 Carlisle city bypass is blocked at Kingmoor Park roundabout, due to an overturned tractor and shed load of hay.
The B5307 Newtown Road in Carlisle is partially blocked in both directions due to an accident at the A595 Wigton Road.
Police are at the scene.
The B5305 is blocked in both directions at Sebergham, Cumbria, as a lorry has jacknifed on Sebergham Bridge.
Delays between Wigton and Penrith can be expected and police say the road will not be clear until at least 10am.
